Welcome to Las Vegas

Welcome to Las Vegas

Welcome to Las Vegas – the so-called ‘Sin City’ or the ‘Entertainment Capital of the World!’ With bright lights, never-ending casinos featuring adrenaline-fueled gaming tables, ever flowing drinks, vibrant nightlife, indulgent shopping malls, family-friendly venues, extravagant resorts and magnificent hotels soaring hundreds of feet into the desert sky, and a wide range of attractions and a myriad of things to do, the legendary Las Vegas warmly welcomes travelers to discover the most dynamic and dreamscape fantasyland on Earth and enjoy colorful holidays of a lifetime!
Las Vegas is home to a wide range of accommodation options best suited for all types of tastes and budgets. The hotels in Las Vegas are the main attractions. Hotel casinos like the Wynn, Bellagio, The Venetian and MGM Grand speak of one thing – luxury beyond imagination. Do not forget to take your cameras, as no one at home will believe what you’ve seen!

Location of the Wynn

Location of the Wynn

Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas looking towards Fashion Show
The Wynn hotel is situated to the north of the strip, directly opposite the Fashion Show shopping mall. If you start walking south from the Stratosphere, you’ll come across old Vegas (The Sahara, Circus Circus, The Riviera and The Stardust), before abruptly meeting the new: The huge Fashion Show mall on your right, and the glorious Wynn on your left. After that, it’s new Vegas all the way, with The Venetian, Paris, Treasure Island and Caesar’s Palace just up the road.
If it’s the grand hotels of Vegas that you’re looking for, the Wynn pretty much stands as the northerly tip of them, with the Mandalay Bay standing as the southerly tip (The Stratosphere is further north to the Wynn, but is a bit out of the way of the other major hotels).

Conclusion

The Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas is a stunning building, and a must-see resort should you go to Vegas. It’s main drawback is its price, but it is a luxury hotel, and compared with some of the older hotels such as Circus Circus, it’s almost from a different world. Besides, after a few days of Vegas, you’ll be amazed how seeing greenery again cheers you up! Neon’s all very well, but when you’ve been in the desert for a few days, trees, flowers and water are a welcome sight.
So there you have it – the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas is pricey but utterly glorious!

Inside out design

Inside out design

Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas showing waterfall

The philosophy underyling the design of the Wynn is ‘inside out’ – that is, rather than a big flashy tourist display to attract you inside, the Wynn is deliberately understated (well, as much as a gigantic 50 storey glass building on Las Strip can be understated!), leading people to be drawn inside through curiousity more than awe.
And it works, too. No Egyptian Sphynx, Eiffel Tower or New York skyline is needed to draw your attention to the building. Its size, style, and the glorious greenery and lakes that surround it are enough to draw you in all by themselves. Of course, the waterfall, enormous moving sign and huge booming soundtrack that booms out as you soak in its splendour don’t hurt, either!
When you do go in, you’re greeted by a strange site for Vegas – greenery! Trees, bushes and flowers immediately greet you, while outside lies gloriously landscaped grounds, complete with stunning waterfall, lakes and even a golf course. The bars are a great place to relax in, too, with greenery all around, uber-comfy seats, and bar staff that are as gorgeous as the building itself!

Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas review

Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas with sign

The Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas is the latest, most state of the art and most luxurious hotel on the Las Vegas strip. Mind you, this being Vegas, give it another year or so and it’ll be outdated by the next most state of the art hotel. For now though, the Wynn hotel reigns supreme.

Hotels in Uman

Hotels in Uman, Ukraine
Uman is a small city in Cherkassy
region of central Ukraine, and is
at the intersection of the Umanka
 and Kamenka rivers. While the
population of Uman is small
(around 100,000) there is a surge
 of Hasidic Jewish pilgrims every
year during Rosh Hashana to visit
the burial site of Rabbi Nachman
of Bratslav, who was the founder of
the Hasidic movement in the region.
Despite the influx of pilgrims every
 year, and some visiting backpackers
 and hikers
, Uman sees relatively low tourist traffic. Therefore, there are only a few hotels in
 Uman, Ukraine.

Hotel Muzey

Hotel Muzey is a small two to three star hotel located in the center of Uman. While short on
amenities and luxuries, it is a safe hotel that welcomes foreign travelers and is staffed by at
least one English-speaking employee at all times.

We have just returned from a week

We have just returned from a week

Imperial Hotel Sunny Beach

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Imperial hotel, and whilst the hotel is beautifully decorated (Egyptian theme), and the rooms and bathrooms are large and very clean, we were not at all impressed by the food and total lack of entertainment. The bar is very small.. only one person serving, very few seats, and long queues at the bar all the time and the drinks are served in soft plastic glasses. Not something you would expect from a 4 star hotel. There was absolutly NO entertainment (when we asked at reception we were informed that it has stopped for the year now) despite the hotel being packed to the brim. The meal times are really early (breakfast till 9am, Lunch 11.30-1pm, Dinner 6.30-8pm), which doesn't give you time to go out as you are always rushing back for meals. We gave up in the end as the food was mainly catered for Europeans and not English, tea and coffee, when available was tasteless and cold. The heating in the rooms did not work and we were very unfortuante to have had 3 very cold, wet days whilst we were there, and that didn't help. We ended up eating and drinking out most of the time(highly recommeded John Smith's pub next door.. live music and karoke nightly till the early hours of the morning, happy hour from 6pm-3am or later, inexpensive food, extremly friendly staff and great atmosphere). We were there every night till 2-3am and the pub was still buzzing when we left.
The restaurant across the road is very good (BULGARI) but the staff are very unfriendly, which was a bit of a put off, considering the food tastes great there. Lots of supermarkets, food stalls (pancakes, kebabs etc) across the road from hotel and shops selling souvenirs and beach stuff.
A "tourist train" from outside the hotel, takes you to the center of Sunny beach and Old Nessebar every half hour and there are also Horse and Carts, and buses that run every 12 mins and all are very cheap to use. The buses do get very packed, but worth it for less than 50p travel.
The pools in the hotel were not heated so no-one was using them. The spa center (beautifully themed in Egyptian style) is very expensive for treatments but the pool (not heated) is FREE.
The rooms are very clean and big, so are the bathrooms with very large shower cubicles. Mini-bar is not part of All Inclusive.
In the lobby there are a few seats but no where near enough for the number of guests the hotel holds, so in the evening there is no-where to sit and benefit from the All Inclusive Bar. There is a Piano bar attached to the hotel, but it is also, NOT part of the All inclusive and very expensive.. you have to pay for the music as well there, which the hotel don't tell you when you check in.
We had a great time there, as we chose not to let the food at the hotel put us off and ate out most of the time. The hotel is very beautiful, and worth the visit as it is central for everywhere. There are endless eateries in Sunny beach, so you will never go hungry and eating out is very cheap. Just be prepared for that when you budget for your holiday and you will have a great time. Sunny Beach and Nessebar are buzzing places to visit and you will find that you end up going there most days as there is so much to see.
There are also endless shops/stalls selling silver and gold jewellery, fake designer bags/clothes/shoes, souviners, sunglasses, belts, perfumes etc very cheaply. Just go out there with an open mind and you will have a great time. The staff at the hotel do speak English (apart from the maids) so that wasn't a problem, and if you have any problems the staff at reception are quick to put it right or speak to your holiday rep. This is the first year of All Inclusive and they have a lot to learn. No tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms either.
All in All, a great holiday at the Imperial.
